Hello Blogging World

Well, hello blogging world!!! This is my first blog and my chance to share my scrapbooking creations and my life with you all. I am sure it will take some time to get the hang of all this, but the challenge is exciting.
I am a busy mother of 2 beautiful daughters and partner of a very understanding man. We live in a small beach community on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. I feel like I have the ideal home, living in a holiday destination only a 5 minute walk to the beach. When not home with my youngest pre-schooler I am working parttime in retail, which keeps me busy.
A little bit about my craft. I came across scrapbooking about 6 years ago when my mum and I ran a newsagency. I saw all the wonderful magazines, and although I was very interested, I was preoccupied with other crafts and working full time with a young child. I did not want to start another craft. I did however keep a copy of a few magazines. Unfortunately my beautiful mother passed away in Sept 2004 and on the first anniversary of her passing I decided to create a scrapbook album to place in all the obituary notices, cards and letters that I had received. Well that was it, I was hooked and I havent turned back since.

I have watched my layouts evolve and recently I was honoured to be asked to design for Angie at Scrap.n.Art Journey and also received 2 Honourable Mentions in the 2009 Masters competition for the Scrapbooking Memories magazine. I still believe I have a lot to learn and constantly keep an eye on the latest and greatest magazines, online galleries and blogs.

I truly hope that my blog will provide inspiration to you as others have to me. Please enjoy.
